On December 3, 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming January 24 as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for bringing global peace and sustainable development. One of KT Care’s development philosophies is that every person has the right to a decent education. Therefore, KT Care provides scholarships to students and contributes to building the educational infrastructure of Myanmar. The Scholarship Program provides financial support for 3-5 years (including fees for accommodation in a hostel, meals, tuition, stationery and other necessities) to disadvantaged students with high academic achievement, to pursue studies at national universities. In addition, some scholarship students also work as interns at KT Care Foundation as part of their training. So far, KT Care has funded 171 students successfully.
