Transparency and accountability are essential aspects in KT Care’s approach to working with local communities, stakeholders and donors. KT Care is registered with the UK Charity Commission (charity number 1125186) and fully complies with all requirements of the Charities Act. These requirements include maintenance of a Board of Trustees, keeping of accounting records and preparation of annual narrative and financial reports to be provided to the Charities Commission. As part of our commitment to work in the most effective and responsible manner possible, we adhere to a number of principles and international standards:
- 1. The Transparency Manifesto (ImpACT Coalition) – a set of principles for improving transparency and accountability in the charitable sector.
- 2. Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response of the Sphere Project.
- 3. Keeping Children Safe principles and guidelines – for increasing safeguards offered to children in vulnerable communities.
